Community Land Scotland

GROUNDED

The land justice film festival

A touring film festival celebrating film connected to land, place and community will visit venues across Scotland in the Autumn of 2027.

With a wide variety of films, we hope to tell stories of Scottish communities, land and climate, alongside international examples of land justice.

We will be running an open call for groups to create 3-minute shorts of their own to be screened along-side the festival programme. We are excited to be at the early stages of curating the films in question and thrilled to have some great films already in the mix.

Community Land Scotland will host the first of the festivals in Glasgow, in late 2027 before offering it to any community groups which wish to host it themselves. Hosting comes with support, including a full programme pack, marketing materials and discussion prompts, so all you need to bring is a venue and an audience.

We hope to use the festival as an opportunity to discuss community ownership and explore some of the themes presented during the Q&A sessions. Featuring local voices alongside invited guests, this festival aims to reflect your community’s perspective.

If you’d like your community to be one of the stops, please reach out to Iain.
