What they said:

2025 marks 10 years since Carloway Estate was purchased by the community. As part of our year of celebrations we were keen to take part in Community Land Festival. The event involved a “walk and talk” at the Carloway Broch. Doune native Annella MacArthur told us about the fascinating history of the village of Doune, the people and the changes over time. It was very enjoyable afternoon, finished off with a cup of tea in the visitor centre, owned by Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh.

Outcomes and Community Feedback:

People thoroughly enjoyed the event and appreciate the opportunity to share stories and memories of Doune and other villages in the area.
