Kinlochard Community Residents Association

In 2026, after a long and winding struggle, Kinlochard Community Residents Association (KCRA) bought 27 acres of land – The Field – of significance to the well-being and prosperity of our village community.

We believe that community ownership offers the best way to ensure that this land and the life it enables is properly valued, respected and utilised for the contribution it can make to the lives of those connected with it. Community ownership secures a resource through which all the people who live here can play a greater part in determining the future of our village as challenge and opportunity arise.

In the next few years we hope to realise key elements of our Community Life Plan – developing greater self-sufficiency and increased community capacity and resilience, enhancing the natural and cultural heritage and environment of The Field, and supporting economic diversification – through putting in place plans for outdoor learning, engagement with heritage, business storage, renewable energy, and community growing.

KCRA would like to thank all those individuals and organisations who have contributed so much to making The Field a part of the story of community-owned land in Scotland.
