What they said:

We ran five simultaneous community garden open days form Port Glasgow, Greenock East, Greenock West and Gourock. Each space hosted a range of activities from compost making & gabion benh making workshops, recycled roof slate signwriting, our own honey sampling, apiary visits, ukuele band, vegetable sales & give aways, home made soups, home made breads and garden tours with a friendly cuppa in hand. We were keen to celebrate community growing on a range of sites in different contexts from dilpidated industrial estate, urban church grounds to historic walled garden. Feedback has been fantastic both from visitors and those who saw the events online.

Outcomes and Community Feedback:

Very positive experience for all ages.

Challenges:

Logistics of doing it across five sites.
