The land festival has become a key part of our calendar year and members of our community look forward to coming and celebrating. The inter-generational contact around food, fire and the gratitude for the place itself was evident and meaningful. The linked video goes someway to capturing the spirit of events at our community woodland, and the sense of place and meaning that is engendered.
Outcomes and Community Feedback:
I have received lots of thanks and appreciation plus new people attending gatherings since the event.
Challenges:
We are still without any permanent covered space, so setting up for a large gatering with canvas in poor weather can be tricky for the challenge of presenting a warm hearth!
