Training for Community Landowners in Glasgow
20 November 2023 * 9:30 am - 21 November 2023 * 3:30 pm
FreeIntensive training available this Autumn
Community landowners implement the needs, aspirations and energy of their communities, while also running financially successful organisations. This community-led approach is one of the main strengths of the community land model but it can also create unique challenges.
We are offering a set of intensive in-person trainings this Autumn which will cover key topics for community landowner staff and board members, and access to one to one coaching. Join us to build your knowledge, and your network, as you plan for the future.

Details
The training is structured to provide intensive support over two days in September and two days in November. The sessions on Stronger Boards and Finance are ‘stand alone’ and may have different attendees. The same attendees have signed up for both days of Strategic Planning for continuity.
James Hilder will be providing the training. He is a very experienced social enterprise consultant, trainer and Trustee, involved in numerous community buyouts and social enterprises.
Training sessions are open to communities who either own or are about to acquire land and/or assets. Both Board members and employees are encouraged to attend, but numbers will initially be restricted to two people per organisation, per seminar. If there is substantial interest, priority will be given to community groups in the Clyde Valley.
The training will take place in the Billiard Hall at the Pearce Institute in Govan.
Travel and caring cost bursaries are available.
