TRAINING: Supporting mental health for community organisations
11 December 2023 * 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeEmpathetic Interactions and Resourceful Guidance:
We have partnered with MHScot Workplace Wellbeing to offer a practical workshop on mental health support and organisational navigation. This workshop, which is open to individuals from communities who own land or buildings, aims to empower community organisations to approach and respond to mental health challenges effectively, offering immediate support and recognizing distress signals.
Discover how to establish supportive systems within organizations, promoting a culture where seeking help is encouraged and individuals are guided to the right resources.
This seminar will be broken into two parts:
Part 1: Approaching, Responding, and Supporting Mental Health
In the first part of the session, we will focus on how to approach and respond to individuals who may be struggling with their mental health. This will include practical tips and techniques for providing immediate support and understanding the signs of emotional distress.
Part 2: Systems and Signposting
The second part of the session will explore the systems that can be put in place within organisations to help people signpost those in need to appropriate resources. We’ll discuss how to create a supportive environment where people feel comfortable seeking help and how to direct them to the right places for further assistance.
Once we have received your registration we will check that your organisation meets the criteria for this session and will be in touch with you to confirm your place and how to join the session. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
Only 1 ticket available per organisation, unless spaces become available. If you would like to book more than one place please contact us separately.
