Community ownership and its place in Orkney

26 March * 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Orkney has one of the highest rates of community ownership in Scotland.  Join us in Kirkwall as we hear how community ownership is benefiting Shapinsay, Westray and Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre. We will also be joined by Donna Heddie, Professor of Northern Heritage at UHI and Francesca (Chessa) Couperwhite of HIE for a discussion about how community ownership contributes to the culture and economy of Orkney. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask any questions they have about community ownership.

This event is part of our Linn an fhearainn / 100 Years of Community Ownership project and is supported by the Scottish Government and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
