The Stornoway Trust

The Stornoway Trust will be hosting two workshops, one in the morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and one in the afternoon from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

These will be based at the Trust’s Tree Nursery, near the Marybank entrance of Lews Castle Grounds.

Each workshop will cover the same ground and will involve a hands-on practical demonstration of some of the methods of edible mushroom cultivation. For more information or to book a place on the morning or afternoon workshop, contact Austin.

This event is part of Community Land Week, the festival of community ownership in Scotland. In 2023, nearly 50 communities from across Scotland will celebrate, with events ranging from guided walks across community-owned land and mushroom cultivation workshops, to pumpkin festivals and ceilidhs.
