Community Ownership Electric Roadshow
26 February * 6:00 pm - 29 February * 8:00 pm
FreeThis winter, as we celebrate 100 Years of Community Ownership, we will be packing up our campervan, stocking up on cakes and coffee, and visiting communities across the Northeast of Scotland and Tayside to share inspiring stories of community ownership. Over the course of one week in February, we will meet with groups in Angus, Stirling, Dundee, and Aberdeen.
We are partnering with Kirrie Connections, Creative Stirling, Creative Dundee, and the Fittie Community Development Company to host four information sessions to share with communities the benefits and opportunities of community ownership.
Each session will feature:
* An introduction to community landownership: how can it help your community? How do you start? Who can help?
* Information about communities’ rights to register interest in land or buildings
* An overview of the support available
* Inspiring community ownership stories
Following a few short presentations, there will be ample time to ask questions, and to meet with representatives from the Scottish Land Fund and Community Land Scotland.
In addition to the four events, we are hoping to meet with communities who are looking to learn more. If you are part of a community in the Forth Valley, Dundee, Angus, or Aberdeen, and you would like to set up a meeting, please email Meg.
