26 October * 14:00 - 15:30
Have you always wondered how decisions are made about what goes where in your area? Would your community like to have more say about the siting of new developments or the protection of valuable assets such as greenspace? If that is the case, then you need to know about Local Development Plans and Local Place Plans.
In this session, Pippa Robertson (Aurora Planning Limited) will lead participants through:
- An overview of how Local Development Plans are created and the opportunities for communities to engage with the process;
- What communities can do to preserve valued assets such as greenspace;
- How to navigate conflicts between a community’s planned development with the LPD;
- A quick overview of Local Place Plans and their role in the planning process.
The session will be chaired by Linsay Chalmers, and will include time for discussion, questions and sharing of experiences.
Only 1 ticket available per organisation, unless spaces become available. If you would like to book more than one place please contact us separately.
Once we have received your registration we will check that your organisation meets the criteria for this session and will be in touch with you to confirm your place and how to join the session. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
