On 10 & 11 May, over 100 people gathered in Perth Theatre for our Annual Conference to discuss a range of topics from the Land Reform Bill to gentrification and cultural heritage.
Cabinet Secretary Mairi Gougeon MSP opened the conference by welcoming delegates before the Chair of the Scottish Land Commission, Michael Russell, delivered a keynote. He shared his vision for land reform that includes increased individual, collective, and national prosperity, whilst addressing feelings of alienation from the land.
On the second day of the conference, delegates worked to craft a declaration, laying out and prioritising out the key asks of the sector for the next ten years. After further consultation with our Members, the top six asks (right) were identified. The declaration is available below.
