Scottish Community Coalition on Energy – Policy Priorities

We are members of the Scottish Community Coalition on Energy (including Development Trusts Association Scotland and Community Energy Scotland), who are seeking to secure a Fair Energy Deal for Scottish communities. This means maximising the positive impacts of the renewables revolution for Scotland’s communities, by unlocking community-owned energy and putting Community Wealth Building principles at the heart of wider energy policy and economic transformation.

As member-led organisations, we base our policy recommendations on what our members tell us they need, to overcome barriers and unlock benefits for the climate, communities and local economies across the country. This briefing identifies the key policy asks we have for the UK and Scottish Governments.
