Community Land Scotland

Open letter on the Land Reform Bill 2024

35 organisations and individuals who work in agriculture, community ownership, conservation and ecological regeneration, economic development and social enterprise have signed a letter calling on the Scottish Government to significantly strengthen the current Land Reform Bill.

The group make specific recommendations for how the legislation can be strengthened. However they also make the important argument that the Bill is not just about the governance of large landholdings, it is about our lives and livelihoods, communities, and futures, and marks how we choose to live in the world for generations to come.
