The Kinlochleven Community Trust exists to support and enable the diverse community of Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands, to develop, thrive and be sustainable.
Our Aims focus on:
o The management of community assets and land for the benefit of the local community and general public
o The provision, support, and promotion of recreation facilities for all
o The encouragement and advancement of community development including education, training and skills
o The advocacy and education in local culture, environment, and history for the community
o The protection, conservation and improvement of the natural environment and our cultural history
The KCT is a community-controlled membership body that is run by an elected volunteer Board and managed by employees.
We are currently developing a new multi-year strategic development plan to be initiated in 2022.
The KCT manages services and facilities in Kinlochleven including:
– The Kinlochleven Business Park
– Village core paths
– Community Woodland
– Community Toilets
– Public green spaces including gardens and viewpoints
– Car parks
– EV Charge point
We instigate and run community projects designed to develop, regenerate and sustain the village including:
– Community Green Spaces
– Green Health
– Mission Compostable (composting site)
– Community Cafe and Shop renovation
– Food recycling hub
– Community and tourist E-Bikes Hire
– Covid-19 community resilience and response
