Dalavich Improvement Group

Dalavich Improvement Group was established in 2002 by volunteers who wanted to support and improve the sustainability, environment and quality of life for the villages in and around Dalavich in Argyll.

Its main job is to looking after shared community things and to make life better for people who live there.

They:

• Own and manage community spaces like the community centre, village green, play areas, and some land by the loch

• Organise and support local events and activities

• Apply for and manage funding so the community can afford projects and improvements

• Help look after the environment and local facilities

• Use money from a local hydro power scheme to fund community projects, small grants, and training for residents

They’re not a business trying to make profits for owners — any money they get is put back into the community.

Think of them as the group that keeps the village ticking over, improves shared spaces, and helps residents turn good ideas into reality.
