Comrie Development Trust

Comrie Development Trust is owned and managed by local people living within the boundary defined by the area of responsibility of our Community Council. The Board consists of up to 12 positions elected by, and from, the membership with up to three co-opted positions to attract particular skills on to our board

Comrie is a village of some 2,500 people in the heart of rural Perthshire, centrally located being 29 miles from Stirling and 24 miles from Perth. We are connected to Edinburgh and Glasgow by a regular rail service from Dunblane, 22 miles away.

At the start of the 21st century, we believe that every community needs to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. We need to look at how we become more self-sufficient; how we move about; provide energy,food and workspace; how we entertain ourselves and look after each other. In other words, how we build a resilient community for the 21st century.
