Lauryn McLoughlin: Adviser

Lauryn is a Natural Capital Community Partnerships Adviser, supporting communities to engage with and benefit from nature restoration and sustainable land use.

She works closely with landowners, community groups, and partners across the public and private sectors to develop projects that deliver for climate, nature, and people. With a particular focus on peatlands, Lauryn brings experience in translating research and policy into practical, community-led approaches that reflect the needs and ambitions of local places.

Before joining Community Land Scotland, Lauryn worked on a range of peatland restoration and wetter farming initiatives, supporting farmer engagement, policy development, and knowledge exchange across the UK. Through this work, she contributed to research exploring new revenue streams for farmers through innovative wetter farming crops. She is particularly passionate about helping communities feel confident and empowered to take part in environmental change.
