Community Landowners’ Toolkit: Recruiting and Managing Staff
4 December * 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeThe main aims of the training session, delivered by Sarah Whitman from Delfinity, are to provide organisations with the tools to recruit and manage new individuals, and to understand and plan for the legal and budgetary implications of hiring staff.
The training provides a roadmap for the journey that community organisations go through as they become employers, from identifying staffing needs, to understanding and planning for the recruitment process, to understanding legal responsibilities and financial implications. Additionally, the training will address how to successfully on-board new staff, including induction and ongoing management.
Some points that will be covered are:
- Evaluating staffing needs and building job to suit
- Considerations on grant funded fixed term appointments
- Recruitment process
- Legal responsibilities as an employer (Equality law, employment essentials, contracts and conditions, and employment rights)
- Overall cost of employment and how to budget
- Induction and ongoing management
Only 1 ticket available per organisation unless spaces become available. If you would like to book more than one place, please contact us separately.
