Friends of Glenan Wood * The Big Biochar BBQ

Drop in for the fourth food festival of the year, this one will be our annual BBQ and is part of a nationwide celebration of community landowners; the seventh annual Community Land Festival!

As ever, there’ll be some family friendly, social conservation work in the wood with a fantastic lunch & some choice acoustic musical accompaniment. If you have access to a wheelbarrow, please bring it along.

This year we will be having a good hot burn along a stretch of the shore path, just passed the footbridge; creating batches of biochar from deadstanding rhododendron ponticum throughout the day.

Lunch will be served from 2pm.

To help us get an idea of how much food to prepare, we recommend people book onto the event.
