Exploring Tarras Valley

To celebrate Community Land Week 2022, join us to explore the community-owned Tarras Valley Nature Reserve on one of our FREE guided walks events on Sunday 16th October. The walks will be lead by experienced walk leaders, and free refreshments will be provided afterwards.
There are 12 spaces on each walk, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so booking is essential.
WALK 1: 9:30 – 16:30 * Arkelton Hill, 10-mile circular, strenuous
WALK 2: 9:30 – 16:30 * Roan Fell, 10-mile circular, strenuous
WALK 3: 11:00 – 14:00 * Lower Tarras: Bird Hide to Glen Tarras, moderate
All walkers are responsible for ensuring they are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, and should bring waterproofs, sufficient water, and lunch. Wellies are recommended but not compulsory for walk 3. No dogs are allowed on the walks.
Walkers should meet at the Kilngreen Kiosk 30 minutes before the walk start-time to check in.
