DESCRIPTION:Join us on a range of events to celebrate and showcase community ownership on Knoydart. \nThe events will be hosted by Knoydart’s seven community owned organisations and will include guided tours and walks\, a local produce feast and venison tasting\, a pub quiz and exhibition. \nKnoydart’s Community Ownership Exhibition\nMon 16 – Fri 27 Oct – Knoydart Community Hall daily 11-5pm – celebrating & showcasing community ownership on Knoydart \nLocal produce feast & Venison Tasting\nSaturday 21 October at Knoydart Community Hall from 7pm – bring a dish to share at a gathering to celebrate community including a taster of Knoydart Wild Venison \nCommunity Themed Pub Quiz\nSunday 22 October at the Old Forge time tbc – a fun night in The Old Forge to test your knowledge of all things community and land reform \nGuided Tour of Black Hills Regeneration Project\nWed 25 Oct 11am – join Knoydart Forest Trust and Knoydart Foundation to visit the Black Hills and learn about our exciting 3\,000 hectare habitat restoration project. \nGuided Walks with Knoydart Foundation Ranger Service\nFriday 13 October & Friday 27 October – 11.30am – 2 guided walks with Finlay the Knoydart Foundation Ranger exploring the community owned and managed resources. Meet at Knoydart Community Hall. \nGuided Tour of the Hydro with Knoydart Renewables\nDate & time tbc – join the Knoydart Renewables team to visit the Hydro turbine to hear all about our energy security project \nAll events will start in Inverie \nThe organisations involved are Knoydart Forest Trust\, Wood Knoydart\, Knoydart Foundation\, Knoydart Trading\, Knoydart Renewables\, The Old Forge & Knoydart Community Hall. \n \nThis event is part of Community Land Week\, the festival of community ownership in Scotland. In 2023\, nearly 50 communities from across Scotland will celebrate\, with events ranging from guided walks across community-owned land and mushroom cultivation workshops\, to pumpkin festivals and ceilidhs. \nLearn more.
