The film follows a community organisation based in New Zealand called Common Unity. Despite being on the other side of the world their values and work reflect what we are trying to do right here in Kirkcaldy and can inspire us in future projects. \nAfter the screening there will be time for discussion and chat about the themes of the films. \nWe will be providing light snacks and refreshments. \nBook your place here. \n

DESCRIPTION:We are stocking up on cakes and coffee\, and visiting communities across Scotland to share inspiring stories of community ownership. Tuesday 11 March from 18:00 – 20:00\, we will host an information session at Greener Kirkcaldy to share with communities the benefits and opportunities of community ownership. \nThe session will feature: \n*  An introduction to community landownership: how can it help your community? How do you start? Who can help? \n*  Information about communities’ rights to register interest in land or buildings \n*  An overview of the support available \n*  Inspiring stories of community landowners \nAfter a few short presentations\, there will be ample time to ask questions\, and to meet with representatives from the Scottish Land Fund and Community Land Scotland. \nIn addition to this event\, we will also be hosting two additional events in East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.
