DESCRIPTION:Comrie Community Woodland planted over 20\,000 trees in 2021. Most are sprouting well and there is space for more so please come and join us! \nYou can plant a tree\, regardless of age or ability and we want your help! We have Oak\, Scots Pine & native broadleaves for you to plant and become part of this special place. \nPlease wear stout\, waterproof footwear and we’ll provide supervision and equipment. Afterwards\, join us for celebratory refreshments. \nPlease park at Cultybraggan Camp – we’re across the road – follow signs. \nThe What3Words for us is “ombudsman.loudly.argued” \n \nThis event is part of Community Land Week\, the festival of community ownership in Scotland. In 2023\, nearly 50 communities from across Scotland will celebrate\, with events ranging from guided walks across community-owned land and mushroom cultivation workshops\, to pumpkin festivals and ceilidhs. \nLearn more.

SUMMARY:Woodland Open Work Day
DESCRIPTION:We hold monthly work days to develop and maintain our new 45 acre woodland\, recently planted with over 20\,000 trees. \nAround 40 volunteers participate when they can – most of us have other lives too! Volunteers are individuals\, couples and families and everyone is welcome. While adults do the heavy and skilled work\, children are encouraged to do lighter jobs such as observations (birds\, butterflies\, wild flowers\, etc). \nVolunteer Training has been arranged for skilled tasks like scything and first aid. People usually bring their own picnic lunch and drink\, which can be consumed within our hub building (shown in photographs) when raining.
