Minginish Community Hall
Minginish Community Hall purchased land to improve car parking and toilet facilities for people visiting the Fairy Pools. The community will be holding an open discussion at the Minginish Community Hall, with contributions from the Minginish Community Hall Association, Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland, and Adrian Trendall of All Things Cuillin. The discussion will be on the impact of tourism ‘hotspots’ on local residents and environment, and how empowering the community can help to ease these pressures, make tourism more sustainable, as well as provide investment into the short, medium and long-term future of a community. This would be followed by a site visit to illustrate the impact of tourism and steps taken to make this more sustainable.
The Minginish community have a minibus (16 seater) that can be used to transport attendees between the Hall and the site. We intend to provide refreshments and nibbles at the event in the Hall.
