Join Community Land Scotland and guest speakers who will share some insights and good practice in relation to conducting negotiated sales.
This webinar series, facilitated by Community Land Scotland, will provide insight into the legal side of a negotiated transfer and prepare groups for what to expect from the acquisition process (including pitfalls to avoid). This 3-part online event will be of particular interest to aspiring community landowners, community groups at the early stages of considering a community buyout, both urban and rural but is open to all with an interest in the subject.

This event consists of three sessions. Attendees can tune into any or all of the sessions listed below:
Session 1: From idea to offer, 10-11am
This session will explore issues around identifying and maintaining a good relationship with a landowner, valuations, legal advice that may be required.
Session 2: From offer to ownership 12-1pm
This session will focus on the conveyancing process and what to expect from this stage of the ownership journey.
Session 3: Day One of being a community landowner, 2-3pm
In this session we will go into the nuts and bolts of what happens immediately after a community buyout is completed when, most argue, the real work begins.
