SUMMARY:Community Landowners' Toolkit: Recruiting and Managing Staff
DESCRIPTION:The main aims of the training session\, delivered by Sarah Whitman from Delfinity\, are to provide organisations with the tools to recruit and manage new individuals\, and to understand and plan for the legal and budgetary implications of hiring staff. \nThe training provides a roadmap for the journey that community organisations go through as they become employers\, from identifying staffing needs\, to understanding and planning for the recruitment process\, to understanding legal responsibilities and financial implications. Additionally\, the training will address how to successfully on-board new staff\, including induction and ongoing management. \nSome points that will be covered are: \n\nEvaluating staffing needs and building job to suit\nConsiderations on grant funded fixed term appointments\nRecruitment process\nLegal responsibilities as an employer (Equality law\, employment essentials\, contracts and conditions\, and employment rights)\nOverall cost of employment and how to budget\nInduction and ongoing management\n\nOnly 1 ticket available per organisation unless spaces become available.
