One of our members, the West Harris Trust have been awarded a grant from the Scottish Government’s Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme which supports the development of low-carbon projects across Scotland. The grant will enable the Trust to look into the potential for a wave energy device in the Sound of Taransay, and carry out a feasibility study for the creation of a mini-grid system for the new Pairc Niseaboist Community Energy Project.
