Cromarty Community Development Trust

CCDT is a not-for-profit company set up by Cromarty & District Community Council to carry out projects that benefit the community. Not-for-profit means that any profit made goes back into the company to be used for the community. The main purposes of CCDT are to further:

  • Community development
  • Education
  • Environmental protection and improvement
  • Recreational facilities and activities
  • Culture, heritage and science

CCDT can:

  • Own and manage land and buildings
  • Run events and activities
  • Work with local authorities, government, charities and other community benefit bodies
  • Seek grant funding
  • Employ staff

CCDT needs as many people as possible to join in and help shape the future of Cromarty. If you are aged 16 or over and live in the community council area you can become a member, which means you can attend meetings, vote on proposals and contribute your ideas and skills to projects you are interested in. You can pick up a membership form at the Post Office or download one from Cromarty Live. If you don’t want to join, you can still give your views at public meetings, in surveys and via FB, and these views will form part of the planning process.
